Class Description This course builds off of counseling and mental health I. The Counseling and Mental Health Career Pathway utilizes the critical science approach to help students develop a positive mental health and prepare for careers in counseling, mental health, social work, and human services. *Please make sure you are checking PowerSchool for your correct grade. Grading Scale A (90-100) Exceeding- Your work shows understanding of all parts of the learning objective, with NO errors. B (80-89) Meeting- Your work shows understanding of all parts of the learning objective, with some small errors that do not result in a wrong answer or show confusion. C (70-79) Emerging- Your work shows understanding of many parts of the learning objective, but may have some errors that show confusion or result in a wrong answer. D (60-69) Limited- Your work shows understanding of some parts of the learning objective, but may have many errors that show confusion or result in a wrong answer. F (0-59) No Evidence- Your work was not turned in, does not make sense, or is off topic. Student Reminders/Consequences Regarding Expectations to Classroom Policies
2nd offense- 2nd warning 3rd offense- Phone call home, minor referral 4th offense- 2nd phone call home and administration referral Example- Me: "Susie, please put your phone in the designated area." Susie: Does nothing Me: "Susie, this is your second reminder, please put your phone where it belongs." IF Susie puts her phone up, no consequence. IF Susie does not, she will have a lunch detention with me and a phone call home will be made. In addition, a note for a minor referral will be recorded. IF Susie continues not to meet classroom expectations, ALL of the above will occur. In addition, an administrative referral will be recorded. |
